Srinagar
The capital of Jammu and Kashmir and the largest city in the state, Srinagar (1,730 m) is famous for its canals, houseboats and Mughal gardens. The city itself is very different from most other large Indian cities which are here Central Asia much in the subcontinent. It is a city full of intriguing alleyways and curious buildings. A place is easy to spend hours just walking - especially along the streets of the old city, near the river Jhelum.
Pahalgam
